Formed in 2007 around the lead singer and twelve string guitarist, Paul Webb, The Gutterhearts is a Reigate based band playing an interesting and varied mix of original songs and not-often-heard covers. Often categorised as a folk rock band, they play a hot and heady brew of indie, punk, folk, folk-rock and rock and their performances are definitely more foot-stomping than toe-tapping. Their original style, unique sound and different take on the music they play has pleased audiences in London, Brighton, Surrey and Sussex. They draw inspiration from genres and styles as widely separated as: The Men They Couldn't Hang and Stiff Little Fingers; The Cure and Carter the Unstoppable Sex Machine; Weddings Parties Anything and David Bowie; Bruce Springsteen and Keith Richards to name but a few and of course the unique musical and lyrical style of Paul Webb himself.
